This blog focuses on security, economic, and political dynamics in North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya) and in the Sahel (Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and Chad). Information included in the posts is gathered through open source and fieldwork research in addition to monitoring social media. Through my past experiences I directly supported USG agencies and private organizations. In this capacity, I provided analysis that cultivates a deeper understanding of regional issues in order to implement immediate and long-term programs regarding security, economic, and political challenges in the Sahel and North Africa. I have personally written over 200 reports that have included analysis on local governments, policy challenges and trends, political risks, infrastructure, logistical challenges, security, violent extremist organizations (VEOs), criminal networks, economic conditions, peace building, and counter violent extremism (CVE).
